IYHA has been hard at work on off-season programs, as well scheduling tryouts for 2017-18 Indianapolis Racers season. For more details about our Racers programming, click here. 

In the meantime, here are some key dates to keep in mind as we start planning for summer and next season. 

Racers elite-travel tryouts in May

For those who are interested in trying out for the Racers AAA and AA travel teams, tryouts will take place in May at Carmel Ice Skadium. For specific times, dates and to register for tryouts, click here.  

Racers-select tryouts in August

The Racers-select teams - for players who will play for house teams and compete on a team in the Buckeye Travel Hockey League - tryouts will be held in August at the Carmel Ice Skadium. For specific dates and times, click here.

In order to tryout for Racers select, players must register for the IYHA house program (see registration information below) and be either a squirt, peewee or bantam-aged player.

Interested in coaching or assisting on a Racers select team?

We are always looking for dedicated volunteers who want to give back to our hockey community and nurture the love for the sport in our youth. Coaching applications are now being taken here.

IYHA registration open

Families can now register for the 2017-18 IYHA house hockey season. Due to increases in ice time costs and officiating fees, this year's rate for U8 mites, U10 squirts, U12 peewees and U14 bantams is $670. Register before May 31, 2017, and receive a $50 discount!  To register, click here.  Any player who brings IYHA a new sponsorship for the 2017-2018 season will receive10% off their regular season fees!

Please note:  Applications for the Matt Smith Memorial Scholarship awards will be out soon, and are available for all levels of house league.

Off-season clinics

Even though the spring clinics are already underway, the IYHA is offering a number of comprehensive summer training and skills clinics for all levels of players from beginner to elite.
