The Indy Jr Fuel staff is proud to announce that Learn to Play hockey classes are free for any player with two months or less of hockey experience.
Beginning in October and running through the end of February, young athletes can now participate in Learn to Play hockey clinics at no charge at both the Fuel Tank in Fishers and the Carmel Ice Skadium.
Families have two weekly options for Learn to Play hockey clinics, Wednesdays at the Carmel Ice Skadium from 4:15 pm to 5:15 pm, or Sundays at the Fuel Tank in Fishers from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. Learn to Skate classes are recommended for brand new hockey players, these classes can be found at the Carmel Ice Skadium, Fuel Tank in Fishers, and the Ice Barn in Westfield.
“We are so thrilled to lower the barrier to entry for ice hockey in central Indiana,” said Derek Edwardson, Indy Jr Fuel Executive Director. “Initiatives like this ensure more athletes are able to play the greatest game in the world.”
Full hockey equipment is required for Learn to Play hockey clinics. The Indianapolis Youth Hockey Association and Indy Jr Fuel have a partnership with Pure Hockey to help families new to the sport. Information regarding equipment sizing and online ordering can be found at www.iyha.com/ltp.
