IYHA Jr Fuel Add Kendra Broad to Girl's Coaching Staff

The Petrolia, ON native played NCAA D1 and Women's Pro hockey in the NWHL

The IYHA Jr Fuel are thrilled to announce the addition of former NWHL and NCAA D1 player Kendra Broad to our Girl’s coaching staff!

Coach Broad grew up and played youth hockey in Petrolia, Ontario. She played in the prestigious Provincial Women’s Hockey League in Ontario before earning a scholarship to play NCAA D1 hockey at Lindenwood University in St Louis. In her third year at LIndenwood she captained the team while also leading the Lions in scoring. After Lindenwood, Kendra attended the University of Western Ontario while continuing her hockey career and earning her graduate degree. 

After college, Kendra played seven years of professional hockey with stops in Sweden, Switzerland, Kazakhstan and the Connecticut Whale of the NWHL. The Kazakh dual citizen played for their Women’s National Team in the 2022 World Championships and Olympic qualifying tournament. 

Coach Broad will be joining the IYHA Jr Fuel for the ‘23-’24 season helping with on ice instruction and coach development for our girls travel teams. She will be a fantastic role model for our girls with the knowledge and experience to help them reach their goals. Join us in welcoming Kendra to the Indy Hockey Community!
