Kris May was the first female player in the Indianapolis Youth Hockey Association. Since then, it has been her mission to grow girls hockey in the state of Indiana and beyond.

Coach May's  athletic career included goaltending at the collegiate level for Colorado University while at the same time winning a National Championship in speed skating in 1991. Coach May was a part of the US Olympic Development Speed Skating team from '92-'94. Kris still competes on the ice as player/coach of the Indy Speed Women's hockey team.

As a coach, Kris was an original founder of the Indy Fusion girls hockey program and has been coaching girls hockey locally since 2011. She is a USA Hockey Level 5 coach and has been coaching the Indy Fusion/Fuel 19U girls for the past six seasons.

Kris works with the Mid Am District and USA Hockey to promote girls/women's hockey in a number of roles highlighted by directing the USA Hockey National development camp for the nation's best 16 and 17 year olds every summer in St Cloud, MN. Kris is also a member of the Mid Am district girls growth committee.

Coach May has also coached softball and volleyball at the junior high and high school levels.

Coach Crown brings high level youth AAA and NCAA playing experience to our Indiana Elite 16U Girls. Torey grew up in Detroit and played a majority of her youth career with the Honeybaked AAA girls.

After wrapping up her final youth season with the 19U Honeybaked team, she was recruited to Lake Forest College to play on their NCAA D III team. Torey played 4 years at Lake Forest as a defensive specialist.

During the 2022-2023 season Coach Crown was the head coach of the Jr Fuel girls 14U team making tremendous progress and accumulating multiple tournament championships.

Torey's experience at the NCAA level and relationships built with several D1 players as a youth in Detroit give her the network and knowledge to educate and promote Indiana Elite 16U's to college hockey.
