The IYHA would like to invite you to The Arctic Zone on Tuesday, February 28, at 6pm to hear about our vision and plans for Racers Elite Travel Hockey.

Executive Director and Coach Derek Edwardson will discuss our philosophy on long-term player development, the different paths to high level hockey and what families can expect from Racers Travel teams next season. You will hear answers to the following questions-

Is Racers Travel going to be the same as the Strong?

Why mixed birth year instead of single birth year teams?

How often will we practice?

How much does it cost?

What does the game schedule look like and how much will we travel?

What’s the difference between select and travel teams?

How do tryouts work and when are they?

What are my player’s options after youth travel hockey?

Can players participate in other travel sports?

Can my player “play up?"

Do players from Indiana really “make it” in hockey?

The meeting will begin at 6pm in The Crease meeting room upstairs at the Arctic Zone. Come early to watch our Olympic skating coach Serguei Zaitsev and Goalie Development Coach Willie Mitchell on the ice working with our peewee teams. Players and parents from all organizations are welcome.
